We are dedicated to providing an inclusive, nurturing environment where all children with SEND can learn, grow, and succeed.
I bring with me a passion for inclusive education, along with several years of experience in teaching and leadership, both in mainstream and special education, where I’ve had the privilege of shaping and developing effective support for children with special educational needs. I am committed to working collaboratively with families, staff, and external professionals to ensure every child receives what they need to thrive. I look forward to meeting you all and working together to enable the children to reach their full potential.
SEN Vision
At Cherry Tree Hill Primary school, we believe all children are unique and special. We recognise each child as an individual with their own talents, experiences, learning styles and needs. We value their abilities and achievements and are committed to providing an effective learning environment that promotes their intellectual and personal development. Cherry Tree Hill Primary School is an inclusive school with children of all abilities, talents and disabilities educated together. We aim to enable all children to participate fully in school life.
Our experience has helped us realise the positive benefits of inclusion, enriching and strengthening our school and the wider community. The whole school community is committed to supporting children with additional needs. All teachers here are teachers of children with SEND. We seek to support all children’s access to the curriculum so that they have the opportunity to progress and achieve success. We strongly believe in involving the children and their parent/carer in a helpful working partnership with the school.
At Cherry Tree Hill Primary School we have a graduated approach to SEND, ensuring early identification of needs and a continuum of support for children in order to enable them to make progress. Please refer to our Special Educational Needs and Disability Policy, which outlines the purpose, nature and management of special educational needs within our school.
