Please read the information below which gives details of our PE and Sport Premium Grant and how we allocate the funding.

Background:

In March 2013 the Government announced that it would provide additional funding to primary schools to support the improvement of provision of PE and sport. The funding, allocated to headteachers in primary schools is ring fenced and can only be spent on PE and sport in primary schools. The headteacher and governors are accountable for the spending of the funding.
The premium must be used to fund additional and sustainable improvements to the provision of PE and sport. It is to benefit primary-aged pupils and to encourage the development of healthy, active lifestyles.
Schools are free to determine how best to use this funding to improve the quality and breadth of PE and sports provision, including increasing participation in PE and sport so that pupils develop healthy lifestyles and reach the performance levels they are capable of.

Meeting national curriculum requirements for swimming and water safety. N.B Complete this section to your best ability. For example you might have practised safe self-rescue techniques on dry land which you can transfer to the pool when school swimming restarts. Due to exceptional circumstances priority should be given to ensuring that pupils can perform safe self-rescue even if they do not fully meet the first two requirements of the NC programme of study.
