The School Day

Nursery

Nursery sessions run from 08.45-11.45 and 12.30-15.30 Monday-Friday. We have a flexible approach which is tailored to your needs. Parents choose which sessions they would like over the week and we also offer an all-day option twice a week with children either having a school dinner or packed lunch.  Gate Two is open to Parents at 0830-0915 and 1515-1545 to collect/drop off children. Nursery is accessible via Gate One at all other times.

Reception

The Reception Day begins at 0855 and ends at 1530. The children do not have a specific ‘playtime’ as they utilise the outdoor areas throughout the day in all seasons. Lunchtime is 1140-1240 and children are given a free cooked meal. Parents may collect / drop off children via Gates 1, 2, 4 & 5 at the beginning and end of the School Day.

Years 1-6

Children in Key Stage One (Infants) and Key Stage Two (Juniors) begin their day at 0855 and end at 1530. They have two playtimes during the day (1045-1100 and 1415-1430) and a one hour lunch break. Year One and Two lunchtime runs from 1200-1300 and Year Three- Six lunchtime runs from 1215-1315.  Assemblies take place every day for fifteen minutes. Timetables vary from time to time, but generally Maths and English lessons are taught in the mornings with other lessons in the afternoons. Parents may collect / drop off children via Gates 1, 2, 4 & 5 at the beginning and end of the School Day.

We meet that state-funded mainstream school's expectation that we should deliver a school week of at least 32.5 hours.
